A look into Parti Sosial Demokratik

19 JANUARY 2020

Parti Demokratik Malaysia (PDM) aka. the previous government, recently just released a press statement on the dissolution of the parliament. We also can see that after 93 days under Mr. Arif’s government, he finally retired. However, today’s post is about the previous opposition party, Parti Sosial Demokratik. We yesterday released a post about PDS’s previous logo, click here to view it.

As you read their party name, their party’s ideology is clearly ‘Social Democratic’.

We are also very lucky to interview PDS’s party leader, jieren2002.

Q: So sir, in #campaign, you mentioned that your party wrote about 5 bills related to Home Affairs. Why? A: The party identified key shortcomings in our current legal process, and hence we wrote some of the bills of our own accord, being the Freedom of Information Act. This is a very important bill as it encourages transparency of the government, and so the rakyat knows whats going on. As for the other bills. The judiciary was interested in having those bills, and due to the fact that the government lacked an individual with sufficient understanding of law, we were approached to draft up such necessary legislation. Such as the Protection from Harassment Act which protects the rakyat from being harassed by people.

Unfortunately, Mr. Jieren went Idle Mode and din’t reply to our journalist’s question soon after the second question is asked.

What shall we do next? An exclusive interview of the previous government based on their reactions on what Mr. Jieren said? Tell us below!
