DPM's Response to Lawsuit against SPR

10 NOVEMBER 2020

As former Prime Minister Arifafeef files a lawsuit against the Suruhanjaya Pengundian Raya (SPR), SNN had interviewed the person in the middle of the crossfire, Secret_Intelligence. Eyes_Crows, the lawyer of Arifafeef, released a press statement regarding the lawsuit yesterday at 11:46 AM. You can read it, here.

Arifafeef contacted the attorney regarding a "grotesque violation of the Malaysian electoral process". Which is, SPR allowing former felon Secret_Intelligence to contest in the election. According to Crows & Partners LLP:

  1. Secret_Intelligence has been connected in the past, to an organized criminal organization.

  2. Secret_Intelligence and the organization he was a part of, ended up being convicted after it was demonstrated they posed a threat to National Security of Malaysia.

  3. The SPR, in its negligence of allowing Secret_Intelligence to stand up for election, il-legitimized the results of the election due to the fact that Secret_Intelligence is known to have garnered votes for his party.

  4. The Prime Minister (KeonVonWolffe), in his criminally negligent behaviour, has allowed his long time friend Secret_Intelligence to remain in office illegally.

"National security does not refer to simple gang activity where people get hurt"

Secret_Intelligence doubts that the case will go anywhere after he had examined the Elections Regulations Act.

He then says:

"Specifically the part which says that individuals imprisoned for offences relating to national security are not allowed to contest the election. Here's why. National security does not refer to simple gang activity where people get hurt. The popular definition is that it refers to the state of survival of a state and it's people. I doubt that my having been a gang member. Comprised national security in any way. Therefore I cannot see how the plaintiff's case that I have been imprisoned for an offence relating to national security, that I ran for the elections illegally, valid."
